MDAdvantage (www.MDAdvantageonline.com), a leading provider of medical malpractice insurance in New Jersey, has donated $2,500 to Hunterdon Healthcare to go towards its enhancement projects which are part of the “Investing in a New Generation of Care: The Capital Campaign for Hunterdon Healthcare System.” This multi-year $70 million campaign is designed to ensure that residents in the community will continue to have access to the highest quality of care.
“Hunterdon Medical Center plays a vital role for New Jersey’s healthcare community and deserves our support,” said Patricia A. Costante, Chairman and CEO of the Lawrenceville, New Jersey-based MDAdvantage. “We salute Hunterdon’s commitment to delivering the highest standard of 21st century medicine available today and are delighted to lend our support. MDAdvantage is proud to have this opportunity to promote patient safety and support best practices in New Jersey medicine.”
The Campaign already raised $9 million, spurring the expansion of the Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center’s radiation oncology wing, which opened March 22nd. The new wing houses the Varian Trilogy™ Linear Accelerator radiation therapy technology, the most powerful, precise and versatile system for treating cancer. The Campaign will also fund the renovation and expansion of a surgical suite to include two new state-of-the-art operating rooms, a new family waiting room and a pre-operative patient area. In addition, the campaign will support the centralization of acute care cardiovascular services to include private patient rooms, cardiac catheterization labs and a cardiovascular critical care unit.
“Now, more than ever, Hunterdon Healthcare needs the support from our community,” said Robert P. Wise, President and CEO of Hunterdon Healthcare. “In difficult times, philanthropic giving becomes a key element in the financial health of every hospital. I am so appreciative of the commitment that MDAdvantage has shown to New Jersey healthcare.”
